Surf Fishing Report:
Dangerous beachfront conditions and inaccessible off-road vehicle routes may occur this weekend. In addition to the remnants of Sally, large swell from distant Hurricane Teddy will arrive this weekend, once again bringing very dangerous surf conditions and life-threatening rip currents, as well as the potential for beach erosion and ocean overwash. Hatteras Island had Drum, a few big ones reported, some Bluefish and Sea Mullet, Puppy Drum and the Point had a big Shark bite.
North of the bridge are Puppy Drum and Spot and the excitement of Robert Pinkett catching a Cobia at Oregon Inlet.
Sound Fishing Report:
The Little Bridge on the Nags Head/Manteo causeway reported catching Drum and Trout
Pier Fishing Report:
Avalon: Black Drum, Mullet, Pompano and Spot.
Nags Head: Mullet, Flounder and Puppy Drum.
Jennette’s: One Drum early.
Outer Banks: Pier has a telephone problem this morning.
Inshore Boats/nearshore Report:
The nearshore fleet caught Spanish and Bluefish. The Inlet boats caught Trout and Puppies and the sound boats Drum and Trout.
Offshore Boats Report:
All the boats sailed yesterday and it is good to have an awesome day before you know you are going to sit for a few days at the dock. The fleet limited out on Dolphin, caught Yellowfin and Blackfin, a few Wahoo. Released some White and Sailfish as well.
The winds are N at 25 and the water temp is 76 degrees. Mostly cloudy. windy, sloppy surf, choppy Ocean
