Surf Fishing Report:

Yesterday was such a perfect day to be on the beach and for the anglers it was exceptional. On this side of the bridge it seems the north end in Kitty Hawk and KDH was the hot spot but good everywhere. I had one person told me he caught 7 Bluefish, 6 Trout with 2 keepers, a 24 in Puppy, Sheepshead, and Pompano. His bait of choice was shrimp and Cut mullet. He was fishing MP 6. There were lots of Drum caught yesterday. They were scattered up and down on all the beaches.

Hatteras Island had Puppy Drum as well with one big Drum reported at the Cape. Sea Mullet and Pompano were on the north end of the Island in the Avon area.

Sound Fishing Report:
The Little Bridge on the Nags Head/Manteo causeway reported catching Puppy Drum.

Pier Fishing Report:
Avalon: Few Bluefish.

Nags Head: Mullet, Black Drum, Puppy Drum and bluefish.

Jennette’s: Bluefish, Black Drum and Sheepshead.

Outer Banks: Not a fish has come over the railing

Inshore Boats/nearshore Report:
The nearshore fleet had Spanish, Ribbonfish and Albacore. Sound fishing for Trout and Drum remains good.

Offshore Boats Report:
The fleet returned with plenty of Yellowfin and Blackfin in their boxes.

The winds are SW at 6 and the water temp is 70 degrees. Sunny, slight winds, with small surfing swells.
