Good Tuesday morning!
Standard summer time fishing here on the Outer Banks. With sea mullet cruising up and down the surf, as well as a few pompano.
The sound has had a decent amount of trout and puppy drum for the boaters. If you would like to fish the sound but don't have access to a boat/kayak you can wade behind the lighthouse, go to the south side of the little bridge and or fish under Pirates Cove bridge. For fishing these areas your bait/lure of choice would be shrimp or throwing artificial lures on light spining rods.
Nearshore boats continue to have successful catches of spanish, ribbon and blue fish!
The offshore fleet brought mahi, Yellowfin, and tile fish back to the docks.
They also had releases of both white and blue marlin and a few sailfish.
