Angler's fishing from the piers yesterday had good luck with catches of SPADEFISH, SEA MULLET, POMPANO, SPOT and SHEEPSHEAD.
From the beaches there was SEA MULLET, POMPANO, SPOT and a few PUPPY DRUM caught.
The DRUM and TROUT bite continues to be hot in the sound. They're also catching some throw back FLOUNDER and STRIPER.
*FLOUNDER season opens September 1 to September 14.
Nearshore boats are having fun catching SPANISH MACKEREL,KING MACKEREL, RIBBON FISH, FALSE ALBACORE and TRIGGERFISH.
Offshore had a great day with YELLOWFIN, TILEFISH, MAHI, WAHOO and releases of BLUE AND WHITE MARLIN.
