*Beach driving opens October 1st for Nags Head and Kill Devil Hills beaches*
The Nags Head store will have the permits mid to late day Thursday September 30th. The fee is $25.00 for a seasonal permit and $10.00 for a 14 day permit, Payable with cash or check. If paying with cash we prefer exact amount. In addition to payment, the following information will need to be provided:
Driver's license, proof of insurance and vehicle's registration.
Pier Fishing Report:
Fishing from the piers was excellent Wednesday! They had catches of FALSE ALBACORE, CROAKER, SEA MULLET, SPANISH MACKEREL, BLUE FISH, POMPANO, RIBBON FISH, BLACK DRUM, BLACK SEA BASS, SPECKLED TROUT and FLOUNDER.
Surf Fishing Report:
Fishing from the beaches was just as good with BLUE FISH, POMPANO, SEA MULLET, BLACK DRUM, PUPPY DRUM, SPOT and CROAKER.
Bait of choice being shrimp, mullet and lug worm.
Inshore/Sound Fishing Report:
Sound fishing continues to be extremely good with PUPPY DRUM, SPECKLED TROUT, LARGE DRUM, STRIPER and FLOUNDER.
Neashore Fishing REPORT:
Nearshore boats had a beautiful fall day catching KING MACKEREL, SPANISH MACKEREL, FALSE ALBACORE, RIBBON FISH and BLUE FISH.
Offshore Fishing Report:
There were only a handful of offshore boats that went out yesterday. The ones that did go came back with MAHI, YELLOWFIN, BLACKFIN and BIGEYE TUNA. They also had a few WHITE MARLIN RELEASES.
