The Ocracoke fishing tournament is getting underway this morning. I wish everyone good luck.

Bluewater charters brought in good catches of Yellowfin, a few Dolphin, 2 Wahoo, and an Albacore on Thursday.

There was a report of Gray Trout and Bluefish caught inshore.

Yesterday was a beautiful day. The beaches south of the bridge caught Sea Mullet, and Blow toads. Hatteras and Frisco beached a few bluefish.

Surf fishing is still slow on the northern beaches. Sea Mullet and Blow Toads have been reported north of the Oregon Inlet Bridge. Parker Jones caught a 4 lb Bluefish in KDH using grub for bait.

Pier fishing is getting better every day.

Avalon: Sea Mullet and Puffers.

Nags Head: Slow this morning. Caught two 28 in Puppies late yesterday.

Jennette’s: Bluefish and Shad.

Outer Banks: Blues, Sea Mullet and Blow Toads.
We have calm N wind this morning and the water temp is 54 degrees.
