Surf Fishing Report:
Surf fishing is on the slow side. The water has very small swells. There should be bottom fish caught with bloodworms, shrimp or simulated bait. Pan size Bluefish can be caught with Bluefish rigs using the same bait. There were a few bottom fish scattered yesterday and a nice Black Drum caught in Corolla.
The wind is SW at 8 and the water temp is 64 degrees.
Sound Fishing Report:
The Little Bridge on the Nags Head/Manteo causeway reported Spot, Croaker and Trout all small.
Pier Fishing Report:
Avalon: Mullet, Blues and a couple of very small Pompano.
Nags Head: Mullet, Blues and Puffers.
Jennette’s: Bluefish, Sea Mullet and Spot.
Outer Banks: Bluefish and Sea Mullet. Had a great run of Bluefish caught on metal late yesterday
Inshore Boats/Nearshore Report:
The headboat caught a large variety of fish. Good catches of Sea Mullet, Spot, Gray Trout, Specks, Flounder, Croaker and Pigfish.
The first Cobia was reported caught yesterday, also with Bluefish and Spanish.
Offshore Boats Report:
The Bluewater fleet caught plenty of Yellowfin, Dolphin, Gaffers, Big-eye, Blackfin, and King Mackerel. A Blue Marlin was released.
