Surf Fishing Report:
Our north beach’s was the hot spot yesterday. Plenty of over the slot Drum were caught. Mike Walworth caught a 32 in with cut finger mullet and a 2 hook river rig about 1 ½ hours after high tide. A good number of 12 in Sea Mullet and Bluefish were also biting.
Scattered bottom fish and Bluefish were on all our beaches.
We have ESE winds this morning at 8 and the water temp is 64 degrees reported by the U. S. Army corps of Engineers Research Pier in Duck.
Sound Fishing Report:
The Little Bridge on the Nags Head/Manteo causeway reported Croakers and one Striper.
Pier Fishing Report:
Avalon: Bluefish.
Nags Head: Bluefish and Spanish.
Jennette’s: Bluefish and spot.
Outer Banks: Mullet, Spot and Horny Toads. Big run of nice Bluefish last night. Water temp this morning at 65 degrees.
Inshore Boats/Nearshore Report:
Near shore boats are bringing in Cobia with Bluefish.
Offshore Boats Report:
The boats returned to the docks with limits of Yellowfin, Gaffer Dolphin, a Big-eye Tuna weighing in at 191 lbs, Citation Wahoo and Mako Shark, Also 2 Blue Marlin and a Sailfish release.
