Surf Fishing Report:

There is a break in the heat today. That’s a good thing. Anglers are beaching Sea Mullet and Bluefish. Sand Fleas make fantastic bait and they are plentiful right now. Just dig in the surf, put them in bucket sand and all.

The wind is NE at 13 and the water temp is 77 degrees.

 

Sound Fishing Report:
The Little Bridge on the Nags Head/Manteo causeway reported small Trout.

 

Pier Fishing Report:

Jim Dougherty caught a 48 in Cobia from Kitty Hawk Pier yesterday. (Picture).

Avalon: Sea Mullet, Spot and small Blues.

Nags Head: Big Blues.

Jennette’s: 41 in Crevalle Jack and Bluefish.

Outer Banks: Bluefish and Dog sharks and a keeper Flounder.

 

Inshore Boats/Nearshore Report:
Near shore boats had an abundance of Spanish and Blues. It was a super day for inshore anglers reporting 8 Red Drum and 6 Cobia.


Offshore Boats Report:
The Fleet caught a good amount of Dolphin, plenty of Yellowfin and Wahoo. Pirates Cove reported 6 Blue Marlin and 1 White released.
