Surf Fishing Report:
Surf fishing is overall slow. Down on the island there were some Spanish, Pompano and Sea Mullet and on the north beaches Dan Roberts caught 2 keeper Puppy Drum in Nags Head and we also had some Sea Mullet and Trout caught.

Sound Fishing Report:
The Little Bridge on the Nags Head/Manteo causeway reported catching Trout. I have a picture this morning of 6 keepers caught there yesterday. Also some Drum and Black Drum.

Pier Fishing Report:
Avalon: Sea Mullet, Puppy Drum, some keepers and Spot.
Nags Head: Spot, Mullet, Puppy Drum and Blues.
Jennette’s: Blues, Gray Trout, Sand Perch and Spot.
Outer Banks: Spanish, Sea Mullet and Croaker.

Inshore Boats/nearshore Report:
Nearshore fishing was outstanding with the boats catching loads of Spanish, plenty Ribbon fish, King Mackerel and for the bottom fishermen Sea Bass. Inshore caught their limits of Trout and Drum.

Offshore Boats Report:
Yellowfin Tuna is still dominating the news with the offshore fleet returning to the docks everyday with their boxes packed full. There were also a few gaffer Dolphin and some Wahoo. There were also Blue Marlin releases.

The winds are SW at 11 and the water temp is 66 degrees. Sunny, light winds, flat and glassy.
