Surf Fishing Report:
Yesterday was such steaming hot day. We are going to get a little break for the weekend.
The surf fishing is slow as is the pier fishing. Surf fishermen are catching a few bottom fish. There should be a few Bluefish added to the mix this weekend.
The wind is NW at 14 and the water temps is 63 degrees.
Sound Fishing Report:
The Little Bridge on the Nags Head/Manteo causeway reported a few Trout, Croakers and Black Drum.
Pier Fishing Report:
Avalon: Mullet and Spot.
Nags Head: Spot. Lots of menhaden in the water.
Jennette’s: Sea Mullet, Spot and a Puffer.
Outer Banks: Spot and Croaker.
Inshore Boats/Nearshore Report:
Nearshore boats caught plenty of Ribbonfish. A 70 Cobia was reported. There are still a few out there. Inlet boats are catching Striped Bass. Miss Oregon Inlet caught some Croaker, Sea Mullet, Sea Robin and keeper Flounder.
Offshore Boats Report:
There was some mammoth size Big-eye Tuna caught Thursday weighing in up to 230 lbs. There were citation Gaffers and citation Yellowfin. Wahoo, Amberjacks and Bonita’s were all so in the mix. Sport fishing was good with at least 8 citation Sailfish caught and released.
