Sometimes our pictures get lost in the shuffle. I apologize for the late pictures. Justin Burgess from Elizabeth City caught a citation Cobia on the July the 6 and Perry Byrum from Kitty Hawk caught a nice Flounder.

 

Surf Fishing Report:

There were some bottom fish along the beach. Overall slow.

The wind is E at 9 and the water temp is 77 degrees. Water is clear and choppy.

 

Sound Fishing Report:

The Little Bridge on the Nags Head/Manteo causeway had a good day Thursday. More keeper Trout than usual, some Stripers, Blues and Flounder. One Flounder measured 18 in.

 

Pier Fishing Report:

Avalon: A few Spanish and a few Bluefish.

Nags Head: slow.

Jennette’s: Slow.

Outer Banks: Croaker and Spot.

 

Inshore Boats/Nearshore Report:
Near shore boats brought plenty of bottom fish, Amberjack, Ribbonfish and Spanish back to the docks. Inshore caught Ribbonfish, Puffers, Flounder, Mullet and Pigfish


Offshore Boats Report:
It was a fair day for the bluewater charters. A 52 lb citation Wahoo and a 200 lb Big-eye were caught. Bonita, Amberjack, Yellowfin, Blackfin and plenty of Dolphin as well. Also Blue Marlin releases
