Surf Fishing Report:
It is the Summertime Doldrums. We have it every year about this time so I was told some years ago by Damon Tatem.
Hatteras Island reported a Spanish bite at ramp 45. There are Sea Mullet biting up and down the beaches and some Pompano.
We have Spot, Bluefish and Sea Mullet. I have a picture this morning of one that surly looks like a citation.

Sound Fishing Report:
The Little Bridge on the Nags Head/Manteo causeway reported catching small Trout and bottom fish.

Pier Fishing Report:
Avalon: Croaker and Spot.
Nags Head: Slow.
Jennette’s: Sea Mullet and Pinfish.
Outer Banks: Spot, small Sea Mullet.

Inshore Boats/nearshore Report:N
Nearshore released some nice size Drum and decked some Spanish, Moonfish and Albacore. Inshore inlet fleet had good Trout fishing and the sound reported Trout and good Drum releases.

Offshore Boats Report:
The blow kept most of the fleet in but there was some Blackfin caught. A Sailfish was released.

The winds are SW at 14 and the water temp is 60 degrees. Sunny, breezy, flat Ocean.
