Surf Fishing Report:

The water is pretty rough this morning. A few joggers and dog walkers are out. Children splashing in the wash. It is a day to be cautious when in the water. The red flags are flying.  Surf fishing is slow.

The winds are NE at 19 and gusting at 22, the water temp is 79 degrees.

 

Sound Fishing Report:
The Little Bridge on the Nags Head/Manteo causeway reported Trout and Stripers.

 

Pier Fishing Report:

Avalon: Slow.

Nags Head: Slow.

Jennette’s: Spot, Ribbonfish, Pompano and a 33 in False Albacore.

Outer Banks: Slow. Played with a Sailfish this morning.

 

Inshore Boats/Nearshore Report:
The nearshore returned with boxes full of Spanish and Blues. They caught Drum as Well. The inshore anglers caught Albacore, some Trout, Spanish and Blues. The open boats caught Sea Mullet, Sea Bass, Gray Trout, Flounder and Croaker.


Offshore Boats Report:
White Marlin was the talk yesterday. Oregon Inlet reported 30 Whites and some Blue Marlin. Pirates Cove Marina caught 26 white Marlin and an 800 lb Blue Marlin. The Dolphin bite continues to be outstanding with several Wahoo added and Yellowfin making a comeback.
