Corolla to Nags Head Piers
Corolla to Nags Head Surf

It’s hard to believe we’re already heading into the last week of June! Unlike last year, we’ve been spoiled with wonderful weather, great fishing, and the return of many of our loyal customers!

Pier fishing was a little slower over the weekend, probably due to the wind. Some Spot, Sea Mullet, and Bluefish were caught from the piers. Surf fishing was a little more productive with the crystal clear waters! Lots of Bluefish, Sea Mullet, Spot, a few Spanish and Puppy Drum were caught as well. Shark fishing has been decent as well for those targeting them. Ethan from Elizabeth City sent us a picture of his Shark from last night.

Inshore and nearshore boats had some luck over the weekend as well. UFO Charters @ufocharters had a great trip catching some stud Trout! @saltywatersobxfishing and @reelisticfishingcharters have had productive trips with nice catches of Trout as well. Sheepsheads also seemed to be popular target for those fishing, but we only heard of a few reports around the bridge pilings. Trout, Bluefish, and Puppy Drum were also reported throughout the sound. Check out the Trout young angler Gray Miller caught Saturday with his grandparents! Nearshore boats caught nice Triggerfish, some Spanish, and some King Mackerel.

The offshore fishing boats have been catching Yellowfin and plenty of Mahi! @buddy_callaway @captbc_sportfishing had a great day fishing last week with quite the rewarding amount of Dolphin! @fowlhookedsportfishing had a rewarding trip as well!
