The skies over Jockey’s Ridge State Park will fill with color, movement, and some seriously big kites during the 2026 Outer Banks Kite Festival!
This free, family-friendly event brings some of the nation’s best stunt kite pilots to the Outer Banks for two days of impressive aerial displays, professional demonstrations, hands-on lessons, and kite-flying fun.
Festivalgoers can look to the skies for massive display kites, including a 100-foot octopus, an 80-foot panda, and a 50-foot fish, flying high above the dunes of Jockey’s Ridge. Throughout the weekend, professional kite pilots will showcase incredible artistry and skill through synchronized routines, kite flying set to music, stunt demonstrations, and more.
