🐢 Keep the OBX Wild & Wonderful
Each summer, sea turtles return to the Outer Banks to nest — and if you’re lucky, you might witness baby hatchlings making their way to the ocean. 🌊
Only 1 in 1,000 will survive to adulthood, which is why protecting nests is so important.
Here’s how you can help:
✔️ Fill in beach holes before you leave
✔️ Keep lights off at night (they follow the moon!)
✔️ Pick up your trash — even the smallest item matters
✔️ Never touch nests or shine lights on hatchlings
✔️ Keep dogs leashed near the dunes
🐣 From Corolla to Cape Hatteras, every little turtle counts.
