Autumn talks with Scott Dawson, author of The Lost Colony and Hatteras Island and Croatoan: Birthplace of America. A native of Hatteras Island, a history buff, an amateur archaeologist and founder of the Croatoan Archaeological Society, Dawson explains why he believes the lost colony of Roanoke Island was never actually lost.

The Dare County League of Women Voters is hosting a Candidate Forum tonight from 7:00- 8:30 PM in the Paul F. Keller Meeting Hall located at 1200 Duck Road. You are invited to submit a question for the candidates before the Forum &/or attend the Forum in person and ask a question for the candidates at that time! To submit a question to the Candidates, email: lwvdare@gmail.com Be sure to include your name & town. The Forum will be taped and available for you to view through the Town's website, on the LWV website, and on the GovTV channel, if you are unable to attend the event.
