It is a crazy year out there. Usually when restaurant owners meet one of the first questions we ask is “how’s your year so far”. This can be answered in a few ways

1) great, the best year ever (sure it is)

2) terrible barely scrapping by (how’s that new boat)

3) its good, seeing the numbers where they should be ( poker player)

Lately, we have added a new one

4) “its nuts, but I will be here next year” (they are working around the clock but have pulled it off)

So how is the Lost Colony Brewery and Café doing?
“It's nuts out there but we will be around next year.”

Thanks to a great staff, some new blood, all the old hands, family and of course the heart of this operation Sharon.

And I am told we are going to have a great fall season on the Outer Banks.

The COVID-19 Pandemic took the world by surprise and at Big Buck’s, we simply weren’t prepared for it. We are doing everything that we can to continue to bring our customers quality homemade ice cream and other great products during this new normal.

A Big Buck’s experience is bound to include waiting in a line that extends far from our door. To encourage social distancing, we have given you the option to order online for pick up. In our Corolla and Kitty Hawk location, we have also rolled out a brand new pick up window where you can order your favorite flavor of ice cream or drink without ever entering the store.

This has been a difficult time for everyone and we ask that you have patience with us as we strive to navigate this uncertain time.

Lost Colony Brewery's deliveries take to the air. I received a text that some thirsty folks from Baltimore were sending down an airplane for beer supplies. A quick load up, refuel and they were on their way as fully deputized Beer Sky Rangers bringing fresh suds to Maryland. Thanks JJ

?The Roanoke in BLOOM?We are lucky that something in our garden is always blooming, but we wait all year for this! In March we begin to see the first signs of life as tiny green sprouts emerge from the soil and buds appear on our dormant trees, and for months we watch and wait. Mid summer is when it all finally bursts to life with fiery hues of orange, red and pink taking over as our tiger, day and canna lilies come into full bloom, along with our crepe myrtle and oleander.
