Lovely Day -- It's such a nice day to be at the oceanfront! So far, anglers have landed TRIGGERS, SHEEPSHEAD and FLOUNDER. Water temp 75 degrees with small surf. High tides 5:05 a.m. and 5:35 p.m. Low tides 10:59 a.m. Dale and Matt Glanzman of Buffalo Grove, Ill. caught this fish in our Family Fishing class offered weekdays at 9 a.m. https://bit.ly/3VLEl1y

Fishy Fun Day!

@rocksolidfishing had a pretty cool catch today.... a Jack Crevalle! We don't see these everyday around here. Pretty work AK and Crew! @getchaonefishing had a young man onboard today that pit in alot of work on his own! Casting, jigging and landing fish!Capt. Gene makes a good teacher too!

Speaking of teaching.... @firstlightcharters Capt. Chris had a very successful first day of Fishing Camp for several young Anglers today! They all learned lots and had a blast... there may be some openings left for those interested with young ones!

When it comes to learning about all things fishy.... @shanemonroe40 @gofishcoastalguideservices the fish whisperer has taught his not so little bro all about catching any fish he can and he's been doing great catching some! Picture from a recent good day on the Pier.

🤓 Whalehead Club History:
➜ 1920s - Construction begins for Edward Collings Knight, Jr.'s new house
➜ 1940s - During WWII the building served as a residence and bunker for the U.S. Coastguard
➜ 1959-62 - Operated as the Corolla School for Boys
➜ 1960s - Rocket fuel test site under Atlantic Research Corp.
➜ 1969 - Property is sold to investors
➜ 1992 - Currituck County purchases the property
➜ 2002 - Restoration is completed and the Historic Whalehead Club was brought back to its former grandeur
