Beautiful Morning -- It's clear and sunny this morning with offshore winds and small surf. one BLACK DRUM was landed Saturday, our first reported fish worth eating of the year! Winds are SW at 10 knots. Air temp 66 degrees, water temp is 53. Low tide 7:17 a.m. High tide 12:33 a.m. The beach is wide and flat. Some one left this message rock on our front bench the other day.

Chicamacomico Life-Saving Station

The Chicamacomico Shakes Exhibit will open in our Courtroom Gallery on Friday, April 5 at 6pm. The exhibit will feature over 100 cedar shakes from the 1911 Cookhouse at Chicamacomico that have been transformed into works of art by local artists. We teamed up with our friends at the Chicamacomico Life-Saving Station on this special exhibit, which celebrates the 150th anniversary of the Lifesaving Service on the North Carolina Coast.
