Members of the Dare County A250 Faire Committee gathered at Southern Bank in Kill Devil Hills, NC to celebrate the bank’s leadership sponsorship of the A250 Faire, part of the county’s America 250 commemoration. Southern Bank presented a $10,000 contribution in support of the celebration on Saturday, April 18, 2026 in downtown Manteo and at Festival Park!

GAME TIME! Our mascot needs a name! If you've been in the snack bar area, you may have seen our distinguished old soul who presides over the bar. We would love to get your input on what to name him/her! We're open to boy names or girl names and depending on which name wins, ww will dress him/her in a bow tie if it's a boy, and a pearl necklace if it's a girl! 🎩📿

How long will I run this little neighborhood Italian pop-up? I was hoping to keep it going through Easter, but paperwork and repairs are starting to pile up and I've got to get things fixed before we reopen for the season. So now I'm starting to lean towards March 15th as the last day of this fun little project.

Plans are being finalized for the Dare A250 Faire signature event, set for Saturday, April 18, 2026, in downtown Manteo and at Roanoke Island Festival Park! ❤️🤍💙
This celebration will feature a variety of vendors, along with live music, historical reenactments and storytelling, art displays, educational programming, community exhibits, family-friendly activities and patriotic festivities that highlight Dare County, the “Land of Beginnings,” and our enduring spirit of innovation and discovery. The daytime festivities are downtown and free and open to all, and you can reserve your tickets today for the ticketed evening show at Roanoke Island Festival Park. We can't wait to see you there!
