Every year, Lost Colony Tavern brings Munich to Manteo with an authentic OKTOBERFEST celebration unlike any other on the Outer Banks. For our third year in a row, we are again bringing the ORIGINAL OKTOBERFEST BEERS served at the very first Oktoberfest in 1810 right here to Roanoke Island along with a special menu of authentic Bavarian dishes during the exact same dates as the Munich festival: September 21 to October 6.

We are also EXTREMELY honoured and excited to announce that once again this year, Lost Colony Brewery's exclusive seasonal “Monkey’s Dunkel” German-style dark lager will be pouring throughout the event to enable you to celebrate the world’s largest beer festival while supporting YOUR LOCAL BREWERY!

Oktoberfest kicks off at 11AM this Saturday and runs for 15 days with our entire staff dressed in their lederhosen & dirndls, so we look forward to seeing you for our most popular event of the year!!

Tracy Colson of OBX Jeep Invasion joins Justin on the show this week to talk about their upcoming gathering Friday September 20th thru Sunday September 22nd at the Soundside Event Site in Nags Head. OBX Jeep Invasion is a three-day event with different activities, vendors and fun all to raise money for different charities each year! This year the charities selected are the Dare County SPCA, The Wounded Warriors in Action and the Virginia Tillett Community Center Toy Drive.

Due to the unexpected and exceptional amount of rain received last night and the flooded, impassable, unsafe roads, we regret that we are rescheduling or canceling tours booked for today, September 18th and tomorrow, Thursday, September19th.

Our guests' safety and the community's well-being is foremost in our intention. While we regret not being able to share these adventures with you, we acknowledge this is the best decision for all involved.

We are updating our hours. Now serving dinner Wednesday through Sunday 5:00 till 8:00 p.m.

While reservations aren’t required, they do help us plan ahead to ensure we have everything ready for a great dining experience. By letting us know you’re coming, we can better schedule our staff, order the freshest ingredients, and prepare just the right amount of food for the evening.

Fishin' is Catchin' -- BLUES and FLOUNDER to start the day. The wind has finally died down and gone offshore, West at 5 knots cleaning up the surf nicely. The ESA Eastern Championships are underway on our south beach. Water temp 73 degrees. High tides 7:59 a.m. and 8:19 p.m. Low tide 2:18 p.m. Last week, Braeden Schumacher, age 8, of Johnstown, Pa. with his first drum on his first trip to Jennette's Pier on shrimp he bought from the pier house, his dad noted.
