The Lost Colony new website is live! The Roanoke Island Historical Association (RIHA) is proud to unveil a brand-new website to support the annual production of The Lost Colony. This new website was designed to be easy to use, mobile friendly, and provide an informative, educational look at The Lost Colony and the Roanoke Island Historical Association. The new website also features expanded sections about the history of the Roanoke Colony and the production itself, including new articles about the inaugural 1937 season and Hurricane Donna, which almost destroyed the Waterside Theatre in 1960.

Soft Tops -- Robert Farmer, owner of Farmdog Beach Services in Nags Head, donated a truck load of soft-top surfboards to the Pier's education department who teaches surfing during camp all summer long. Flashing grins from left are instructors Dustin, Kaya and Flannery.

With the generous contribution of event sponsors, TowneBank, BeachGlo Aesthetics, Carolina Designs, and Kellogg Supply Company, alongside support from additional businesses and donors, the event profited over $40,600, which significantly increases financial support of DEF's mission to provide exceptional education opportunities for all students.
